Good morning! We are so glad you’ve joined us today as we begin a transformative new chapter in our walk together.
This our 9-week series titled "The Fruit of the Spirit." We are going to slow down and take an honest look at the evidence of God’s work in our lives.
The Goal of Discipleship
We often talk about "discipleship" as a path we walk, but how do we know we’re actually moving in the right direction? In his letter to the Galatians, the Apostle Paul gives us the ultimate "spiritual pulse check." He explains that when we truly submit to the leadership of the Holy Spirit, our lives will inevitably begin to produce a specific kind of harvest.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." — Galatians 5:22-23
A Cultivated Life
Discipleship is a process of cultivation. Just as a branch must stay connected to the vine to grow fruit, we must stay connected to Jesus to see these virtues take root in us.
Whether you feel like your spiritual life is in a season of abundance or a season of drought, our prayer is that this series will help you lean into the Spirit’s work, allowing Him to prune what is dead and nourish what is new.
