What are the Worship Arts?

Well, worship arts, although they may sound like a special type of martial arts, are any type of activity that brings honor to God.  The word "worship" is defined as: adoring reverence or regard.  In other words, it's giving honor or glorifying something you hold sacred.  What do we hold sacred?  God.  You've propbably noticed that "Loving God" is something we hold to be very important at The Journey.

We believe worship can be any number of things, from music to drama, from prayer to just loving people.  We, like many churches, focus worship on Sunday mornings through prayer, music, dramas, and videos.

Woship Music

We love musicians...even "drama kings" and "queens".  We believe that humans have and always will share their feelings through music.  Being part of a music ministry signifies you being a competent user of God given gifts as well as an understanding of the submission needed to continually give of your time and energy.

Theatrical Worship

From time to time, The Journey welcomes area artists to share their God given talent through the use of plays and skits.  Some funny and some serious but all with one focus, giving glory to God.

Video/Photography

Our worship services, at the lodge, incorporate large amounts of photography and video.  Whether it is behind lyrics for songs or to enhance the message.  There is no better use of technology than for bringing honor to God.
