Why are small groups so important?
We believe that people were created to experience life together. One way that we can do that is by attending a small group. Our groups are designed to bring people together where ever they are in their lives: Christian, Non-Christian, Gay, Straight, Loved, and Unloved. God intended us to grow together. The small group is a way to explore faith in community, growing closer to God and others.
How will I find one that will fit me?
We currently have several groups to fit different interests. It's our hope that 90% of our church is part of a small group. We are always looking to add new groups to fit even more people. We believe all people have a place in building relationships with others and God. Some groups are open to anyone, while others are by invitation only, due to the needs and purpose of the group.
What do I have to do?
If the group is by invitation only, ask to get connected to the group leader to learn more. If it is an open group, just show up with your bad self! Some groups would like to share your thoughts and perspectives, others ask that you bring food to share. Depending on which group you join, the possibilities are sort of endless.
Can I start a group or lead a current group?
You sure can. There are, however, a couple of things we would like to discuss with you before you begin a new small group. We also believe it is important for people to be part of an already existing small group before they set out to start their own. Don't take it personally, we just want to set our groups up to be focused and successful!
