A lot of people have a lot of different perceptions of what worship is. There are countless books that have been written, heck, that will be written about the topic. I think there are two things we need to remember about worship. 1) There is a specific description all over the Bible. 2) True worship will be different for different people.
1) What does the Bible say about worship? The Bible has references all over about the necessity of worship. It is in the Old Testament (OT) and the New Testament (NT). So what does it have to say? Well, first keep in mind, in the OT people had to do a whole lot to be "okay" with God. In the NT Jesus came to make us right in the eyes of the one who judges...out of love remember. Here are some things that I found the other day while hunting for verses: (P.S. there are over 490 verses that I found. Here are only three of them!)
